Project 3

Module 3

For our last project, I chose P5.js. For my project I hand drew 3 different illustrations which I then imported onto the code. I had a globe, a person meditating, and a cross with light beams. The globe comes from my business logo. The person represents me, and the cross represents my religion, because I recently became Christian. My entire business idea is wrapped around helping eachother, and my passion for helping people stems from God, which is why he's in the front, and is the core of the images. The beams cast longer than the other 2 illustrations as well, because it symbols everything I do is rooted by Jesus.

Activity 1

This is the initial code that I played around. I wanted to have a certain colour palete and theme to my images so I made it monochromatic at first. I realized the monochromatic theme wasn't working aesthetically, and what I wanted to protray, so I added back the colours. I played around with how I wanted my other 2 photos to look overlapped on top of eachother. I experimented with the light beams here. This is the illustration of my second image. I wanted it to be simple to portray the feeling of meditation and calmness. This is my initial sketch of the last illustration with a cross and light beams which is supposed to represent faith. This is where I replaced all the original photos with my illustrations. This is the globe imported onto the code, and how it's rotated with my face. I replaced the code with my images, but it wasn't working that's why it was only showing the globe. This is another style of the globe, where it has outlines, and darker colours. I got my images to overlap, but it didn't look the way I want it to. I did a bit of troubleshooting, and fixed it through the order of the image names. I redrew the globe without the face so it's more simple, and looks better visually when the things are overlapped. This is the final image of the person meditating. This is the final version of the cross with the light beams. This is what the final looked like with the adjusted size and illustrations. This was another version of what it looked like before I fixed everything, here is where I played around with the sizing. I played around with the faces length putting it to 100, but it didn't do anything. I deleted wasm to see if anything would change, but nothing changed here either. Here it's calculating the distance between your two eyes and using that as a scale factor. These are the cooderinates of your eye position. This part of the video tutorial talked about the right and left eye. This is the calculation of the distance between your nose and your eyes. I followed the code tutorial, where he talked about the liveliness of the movement, and how the further down you go the more lively it is. This is the final version of my project with it being tilted.

Activity 2

My first attempt using Scaniverse to capture my McDonalds Croc, but I did it too quick. This is my second attempt with scanning my McDonalds Croc, but it fell, which messed up my scan. Third attempt at scanning my McDonalds Croc. It went a lot better this time around, and this is the side view of it. This is the top view of my McDonalds Croc. This is the other side of my McDonalds Cros This is a front view of my small claw clip. This is the top view of my small claw clip. This is a front facing scan of my small Jesus figurine. This is the side facing view of my small Jesus figurine. This is the back view of my small jesus figurine. This is a failed attempt of my green slug toy. This is the other side of my failed slug toy. This is the front facing second scan of my slug toy which went better. This is the side view of the slug toy. This is the front view of my sloth plushie. This is the side/back view of my sloth plushie. This is the top view of my sloth plushie. I decided to try hanging my sloth plushie, this is before I cropped the photo. This is the scan of my hanging sloth plushie after cropping. This is the front facing view of my sloth plushie. This is the back view of my sloth plushie. This is a front/bottom view of my sloth plushie. This is a scan of myself before it was detailed. This is a front facing side myself after it was cropped and detailed. This is the back view of myself.

Reflexive Workshop 1 & 2

I acknowledge that between my friends i'm the only one who has ADHD, and struggles with focus. This is a photo of me next to the stair case, and I notice it's very narrow, and the building doesn't have any elevators which isn't very accessible for people with limited mobility. In this selfie, my friend is user testing one of my digital prototypes for a project to make an app more accessible for a people with a certain disability.
